We left from Walnut Creek BART station at noon on Saturday, April 7, 2018.

BART was very crowded but we arrived at 1:30 PM at the SF Airport.

We got our tickets and checked our luggage at the San Francisco Airport.

While we were waiting, a group of 40 high school students from a Mt. View high school entertained us. They are on their way to South Africa to entertain people there.

It was a 16 hour non-stop flight to Dubai. We had 3 meals on the plane and watched several movies and tried to sleep. We arrived at the Dubai (UAE) Airport at 7:30 PM on Sunday April 8. Listen to the Muslim call to prayer at the airport. We are in a different world now.

We took another plane from Dubai to Johannesburg, another 8 hr flight. This is a courtyard at our very English hotel in Johannesburg, South Africa where we will stay for a couple of days.
