Interesting Plants

There are many plants in Dawn Gardens that are interesting and unusual. I am a plant collector at heart and have plants that have unusual flowers, leaves, bark, fruit or roots. Here are a few of them:

Beautyberry (Callicarpa bodinieri)

Double Clematis (Clematis ‘Multi Blue’)

Deutzia ‘Pink-a-Boo’

Ruby Teardrops Dwarf Spruce (Picea pungens ‘Ruby Teardrops’)

Handkerchief Tree (Davidia involucrata)

Casuarina glauca ‘Cousin It’

This plant is related to a tree that is native to Australia. One of my visitors told me that Cousin It is one of the people on the TV program “The Adams Family” who had a haircut like this plant.

Tie Dye Tomato

Canna ‘Pretoria’

Winged Euonymus (Euonymus alatus) winged bark
Indigo Bush (Indigofera incarnata)

Rose-Gold Pussy Willow (Salix gracilistyla)

Kangaroo Paws (Anigozanthos hybrid)
