Many plants have beautiful berries usually in the fall. Here are some examples at Dawn Gardens:
Variegated Porcelain Berry (Ampelopsis brevipedunculata ‘Elegans’) is a deciduous vine. I am not sure of the sequence of the color of the berries but I think it is: Light green, yellow, light blue, purple, pink.
Deciduous Holly (Ilex ‘Berry Nice’)
Blue Princess Holly (Ilex meserveae ‘Blue Princess’)
Snowball Shrub (Viburnum opulus)Arrowwood (Viburnum dentatum)
Leather-leaf Viburnum (Viburnum rhytidophylloides ‘Allegheny’)
Laurastinus (Viburnum tinus)
Viburnum davidii
Washington Thorn (Crataegus phaenopyrum)
Snowberry (Symphoricarpos albus)
Dwarf Sweet Box (Sarcococca hookeriana humilis) 12″ tall spreading by underground stems.
Sweet Box (Sarcococca ruscifolia) 4-5′ shrub
Sweet Box (Sarcococca confusa) 2-3′ shrub
Rose hips
Thank you for sharing. I find the berries unappreciated by many and used by crafts people. Carolyn m
