Osmanthus are evergreen shrubs used for barriers or hedges in the garden. They have small white or yellowish flowers and are fragrant. They tolerate clipping and can become dense hedges.

Osmanthus fragrans has tiny flowers but a strong, fruity fragrance. Note that the leaves are not serrated like the other Osmanthus.

Osmanthus heterophyllus ‘Goshiki’ is a slow growing tough shrub that has beautiful leaf variegation. It is very deer resistant.





Flowers – very fragrant in the fall. Osmanthus heterophyllus smells like apricot preserves.
Osmanthus heterophyllus ‘Variegatus’ looks like variegated Holly.
