Hobbiton

Hobbiton Movie Set is located 45 minutes North of Rotorua, New Zealand. This is the place where “Lord of the Rings” was filmed. I will show you photos and videos of the beautiful scenery on our way there:

This is the Green Dragon Inn where the Hobbits had their meals

Before Covid they hosted over 600,000 people per year here for lunch and the tour.

We went on a tour of Hobbiton and saw many of their hobbit holes:

The landscape designers that designed the set did a great job choosing the plants to enhance the charm of the hobbit holes.

This is Billbo’s and Frodo’s house. The Oak tree on top of the house is artificial and they had to repaint all the leaves for the second movie:
